Favorite 80s song: Galileo (or was that a '90s song?). Still, by learning
every freaking word by heart and singing it upteen times with Angie and
Cinda, it is my Peace Corps anthem.
Comments on Star Wars the Phantom Menace: It's an easy movie to pick apart
critically. The blatant racism, idiotic Jar-Jar, and too-long race scene
left me uncomfortable with a 100% approval. Still, it is the prequel to a
defining trilogy of our youth (for those who grew up in the late '70s and
'80s). I couldn't help but enjoy it. The flying city scenes and the
set-up for the coming movies left me anxious to see all six movies in order.

- multiple: one traditional gijduvan ceramic bowl (cracked), one exceptional
road movie that only peace corps volunteers would understand (maybe), one
knife made by my friend's brother in prison, and a couple of cool pictures.
- "the phoenix" by the cult
- i don't know which was dumber, putting samuel l. jackson in a role that
has him saying truly ridiculous things, the carribean water ewoks, or
anything little anakin said. natalie portman is hot.
